CANADIAN AUTO WORKERS YOUTH NETWORK
The Canadian Auto Workers Youth Network (CAWYN) was created out of the need to reach out to young workers beyond the borders of traditional local union structures. Working with CAW local union youth committees across Canada, the CAWYN provides a space for activists under the age of 30 to share information and experiences, to actively engage in workplace and community issues that affect the day-to-day lives of young people and to mobilize for direct action.

CANADIAN FEDERATION OF STUDENTS AND CANADIAN FEDERATION OF STUDENTS-SERVICES
The Canadian Federation of Students and the Canadian Federation of Students is a national alliance of more than 75 university and college student unions with a combined membership of over 600,00 students.
Formed in 1981, the Canadian Federation of Students provides students with an effective and united student voice. Since tuition fees, financial aid programs, and funding levels are all set directly or indirectly by both levels of government it is vital that students collectively organize at the provincial and national levels to ensure that students’ rights and concerns are fully represented.
By working together, the Federation hopes to achieve our ultimate goal - a system of post-secondary education that is accessible to all, which is of high quality, which is nationally planned, which recognises the legitimacy of student representation, and the validity of student rights, and whose role in society is clearly recognised and appreciated.
The Canadian Labour Congress is the largest democratic and popular organization in Canada with over 3 million members. The Canadian Labour Congress brings together Canada’s national and international unions, the provincial and territorial federations of labour and 130 district labour councils. Youth issues are at the forefront of the daily work at the Canadian Labour Congress thanks to the activities of a National Youth Representative, the Vice-President representing Young Workers on Executive Council, and the Young Workers Working Group representing affiliates organizations.
Check Your Head is a youth driven organization located in Vancouver. CYH educates young people on global issues, by looking at the connection between global events and issues and local realities. We also produce research reports, create popular materials, and work with individuals, organizations and communities across the country and around the world. INDIGENOUS ENVIRONMENTAL NETWORK
Established in 1990 within the United States, IEN was formed by grassroots Indigenous peoples and individuals to address environmental and economic justice issues (EJ). IEN’s activities include building the capacity of Indigenous communities and tribal governments to develop mechanisms to protect our sacred sites, land, water, air, natural resources, health of both our people and all living things, and to build economically sustainable communities.IEN accomplishes this by maintaining an informational clearinghouse, organizing campaigns, direct actions and public awareness, building the capacity of community and tribes to address EJ issues, development of initiatives to impact policy, and building alliances among Indigenous communities, tribes, inter-tribal and Indigenous organizations, people-of-color/ethnic organizations, faith-based and women groups, youth, labor, environmental organizations and others. IEN convenes local, regional and national meetings on environmental and economic justice issues, and provides support, resources and referral to Indigenous communities and youth throughout primarily North America – and in recent years – globally.

The Polaris Institute is designed to enable citizen movements to re-skill and re-tool themselves to fight for democratic social change in an age of corporate driven globalization. Essentially, the Institute works with citizen movements in developing the kinds of strategies and tactics required to unmask and challenge the corporate power that is the driving force behind governments concerning public policy making on economic, social and environmental issues. In so doing, the Institute serves as a catalyst with constituency-based social movements, increasing their capacity to do their own strategic campaign planning on issues of vital concern to their members and allies. The work of Polaris with social movements is also carried out on both a national and an international basis.
The Sierra Youth Coalition is an organization run by youth for youth, serving as the youth arm of the Sierra Club of Canada since 1996. Our mission is to empower youth in Canada ages 14-26 to become active community leaders who contribute to making Canada a sustainable society. To this end, we educate young people about ecological and social sustainability; we challenge unjust and environmentally destructive systems by using a solutions based approach; and we give voice to the new generation of young people who want to inherit a world worth inheriting: one where social justice and ecology are at the centre of society’s priorities.
